Choose a Cover

You can say that I find it hard to make a decision, but truth is I actually like to hear what other people think. So this time I’ll be asking you to help me choose the best cover for “Angel Gabriel – Blood Bound“.

I did dozens of cover studies and not all of them reached this point, but I still have many to choose from and I’d like you to help me narrow it down. What is a beautiful cover to me, might not be for you, so I always like to have other pairs of eyes on the matter. What I want to know is which (if any) grabs your attention. Which pulls you in straight away.
I have 10 cover designs + two double covers (one would be for the English publication, and another for the Portuguese one, if any of these is the most voted on).

Please remember that these are studies, not the final covers, and therefore the end result might be slightly different.
Without further ado, herr are the covers:

The Cover duos! These were drawn to be a pair. I thought it would be fun to draw a cover for the English version and one for the Portuguese, while maintaining a theme/style consistent in both.
Of course I can also choose two completely different covers from the group above, but I thought this idea was interesting enough to try out.

AG BB duo cover 02b

And now the pool is open! You can vote in up to three covers and, if you like, please leave a comment. Should you feel that a certain colour isn’t doing the trick, or that a type of font is wrong, or any other suggestions, please comment on this post. And, should you not like any of the choices, please let me know why you think that is. It could also happen that you like them all. 🙂
So here are all the covers, numbered, and bellow is the pool for you to vote in.

New look

You might’ve noticed the change in template and the new header image. I wanted to unify the overall aspect of this blog and my portuguese one, so I chose something simple but adaptable.

I thought it would also be fun to let you know that the woman in the picture is me and the characters are Viridis, my muse (the green one), Caeruleum (the blue one) and Purpurissum (the red one), my two muse-helpers; they help clean up the mess my muse makes, sometimes. 🙂
In my portuguese blog, I’ve used them as characters in some opinion posts I made, and probably will use them again, here and there.

So, what do you think of the new look (for the blog)?
I want to keep improving it, and will do some more changes soon, but in the meantime I’d like to hear your thoughts.

And, if you’re curious, visit my portuguese blog to see a different header.

::Characters:: Gabriel

Gabriel Espinoza

Gabriel Espinoza

Gabriel Espinoza was born in Freixo de Espada à Cinta (Portugal), in January 13th of 1983.
His mother was Portuguese and his father was Spanish, so he lived between his hometown in Portugal, and Donostia – San Sebastián (Spain). After getting a degree in Ancient Languages and History, he worked in Spain all year long. At 26, he was engaged to a childhood friend, Sílvia, whom he visited as often as he could, in Portugal.

In early 2010, Gabriel’s life was forever changed, when he was turned into a Sekhmet*, becoming one of the first and most powerful vampires known to men.

Gabriel Espinoza

In the first pages of “Angel Gabriel – Blood Bound”, Gabriel e 191 years-old, has black untrimmed hair, red eyes, tanned skin and is famed as a merciless killer.
A lone-wolf by nature, Gabriel likes to take on missions, keeping himself busy, and away from certain vampires whose company he truly despises.

Find out more about Gabriel in my upcoming novel: “Angel Gabriel – Blood Bound”,  which will be available soon.

*I’ll make a post where I’ll let you know all about the different types of vampires in my novel.
